As the Head of FP&A Germany, you will be responsible for driving financial excellence across the organization by leading planning cycles, consolidating the overall German P&L, and overseeing key financial areas such as inventory, cash management, and cross-business segment topics (e.g. portfolio review, complexity reductions). You will play a pivotal role in steering financial performance, driving digitalization, and ensuring strategic alignment with corporate objectives. In this role you will be closely working with the German (leadership) team as well as regional and global stakeholders.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Lead the overall P&L consolidation for Germany, providing a comprehensive financial view to support decision-making
* Provide strategic direction and executive oversight for inventory, cash management, and cross-business segment financial topics, ensuring their optimization and seamless integration into corporate strategies to drive financial excellence and long-term value creation
* Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance financial visibility, drive efficiency, and support key business initiatives
* Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and internal controls, safeguarding financial integrity
* Lead the annual planning cycle and rolling forecasts, ensuring robust financial planning processes
* Consolidate and analyze financial performance across all business units, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership
* Lead the digitalization of FP&A processes, leveraging automation, AI, and analytics to enhance efficiency and insights, ensuring scalability and consistency across the organization
* Build up and leverage our Sandoz service center to ensure efficient financial operations
* Drive global best practices in shared services and ensure seamless integration with the broader finance organization.
* Act as a key business partner to senior leadership, providing financial insights that drive strategic initiatives, and fostering strong relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders
* Work closely with the dedicated Business Analysis team to support franchise-specific financial needs while focusing on broader FP&A responsibilities
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
* Certification as Cost Management Accountant/Chartered Accountant/MBA Finance
* 10 years relevant accounting/financial experience, in-market commercial experience
* Experience in global functions desirable. Used to work in multi-location/multi-market environment
* Excellent analytical and strategic skills
* Experience with interfacing effectively with parent and global counterparts
* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing; ability to clearly explain financial information to a variety of audiences
* Strong IT skills including excellent proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, data analytics platform knowledge desirable
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken
