The Department of Labor (DOL) Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) program requires contractor services to support these transitioning Servicemen and women through its highly successful Transition Assistance Program (TAP) that is offered world-wide to conduct job assistance workshops, employment counseling, apprenticeship program placements and employer outreach. The DOL VETS TAP program needs an experienced, skilled, and passionate DOL TAP Regional Manager - Europe who has prior experience leading geographically dispersed team members and a professional workforce. In this role, you will: Assist the Project Manager in implementing the Department of Labor’s Employment Navigator pilot program for transitioning servicemembers worldwide Successfully execute DOL TAP Facilitation for transitioning service members Manage and oversee geographically dispersed Employment Navigators, Facilitators and Site Leads at multiple military installations worldwide Coordinate with installation Designated Governmental Representatives Experience overseeing the daily operations of services in a defined region including locations around the globe and geographically dispersed personnel. Ability to perform additional tasks other than supervising include training personnel and ensuring policies and procedures are followed to meet client needs. Experience producing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and region service statistics and maintains working relationships with internal and external customers. This is a remote position based in Germany, but some travel to military installations in Europe may be required. Additionally, the Regional Manager position may require extended hours, including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays, and be able to perform administrative functions for the regional team. The Regional Manager reports to the DOL VETS TAP Project Manager/Task Lead. To be successful in this role, you will have: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as business management, education, counseling, human resources, workforce education, leadership, or closely related field) 5-7 years of related experience to include, but not limited to, the following: Experience overseeing the daily operations of services in a defined region including locations around the globe and geographically dispersed personnel Supervisory experience overseeing individuals, groups, and/or teams Experience leading, managing, directing, or working as part of a geographically dispersed team Ability to effectively communicate and respond to inquiries of a complex nature Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of Applications and virtual meeting platforms Ability to work well with the Military clients and be able to communicate orally and in writing Ability to travel up to 25% of the time Ability to obtain and maintain ECOPS approval and/or any other applicable country specific employment requirements Ability and willingness to work extended hours, including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays if required Additional desired experience and skills: A Master’s degree If you are interested in supporting and working with our military and a passionate Serco team- then submit your application now for immediate consideration.
