At Earlybird, your projects, responsibilities, and tasks will likely include: As an Analyst at Earlybird, you will be an integral part of our investment process, with growing autonomy and influence: Deal Execution & Due Diligence: Contribute to all stages of the investment lifecycle - from sourcing to decision-making - and lead analytical workstreams during due diligence, especially in financial, market, and competitive assessments. Research & Thematic Ownership: Start to develop profound expertise in one of our core investment areas (e.g. Enterprise Software, Fintech & Deeptech.), owning thematic research and helping identify future unicorn opportunities. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain high-trust relationships with founders, domain experts, and co-investors. Your communication and people skills will enable you to gain access and add value in every interaction. Ecosystem Mapping & Network Building: Actively develop your network across the European startup ecosystem - tracking emerging talent, attending events, and building rapport with founders even before they start companies. Portfolio Support: Collaborate with our portfolio companies on strategic projects, research requests, or ecosystem introductions. What we hope you bring to the role: You’re curious, analytical, ambitious - and eager to grow into a future investor. We’re looking for someone with: Academic Background: Outstanding academic record with a completed Bachelor’s degree and preferably a Master’s degree in any field - from Business and Economics to Engineering or Political Science. Relevant Work Experience: You’ve already gained practical, high-exposure experience through internships or full-time roles in consulting, venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or fast-paced startup environments. You’ve worked on strategic analyses, transactions, or business building, and are ready to bring those skills into a VC context. Investment-Ready Mindset: Solid grasp of market dynamics, business models, and financial logic. You're able to assess opportunities with both rigor and intuition. Analytical Strength: You’re fluent in Excel, frameworks, and logic. You know how to structure problems and communicate insights clearly - whether in memos or decks. People & Project Skills: You work well across functions, manage multiple deadlines, and bring a collaborative, solution-oriented approach to everything you do. Venture Curiosity: You bring a demonstrable passion for startups, technology, and innovation - and ideally have taken first steps to engage with the ecosystem (internships, scouting, side projects). Language & Location: Fluent in English, with full work authorization in either Germany or the UK. We expect you to be based in either Munich, Berlin or London.
