We're looking for a Project Manager to join us and help us transform our Finance Service portfolio toward operational excellence by using forward-thinking financial solutions.
This role is critical in managing key projects and ensuring seamless execution of business transformation initiatives. You will lead complex transformation workstreams or projects that focus on the digitalization, standardization, and automation of accounting processes end-to-end, especially in the areas of Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL). You will also play a key role in transition projects that transfer finance activities from business units to Finance Services, ensuring seamless integration and sustainable improvements. You will execute strategic projects with high senior management attention to help to transform end-to-end finance processes groupwide.
You will report directly to the Head of Strategy & Projects. You can choose between your first office location in Essen or Regensburg but will have highest flexibility to work remote with your global teams.
Lead end-to-end strategic group-wide initiatives in Finance Services to enhance efficiency, scalability, and quality of accounting processes
* Utilize professional project management skills to effectively plan, execute, and monitor projects
* Drive the standardization and harmonization of finance processes across multiple entities and countries by taking responsibility to drive alignment and successful execution, leveraging your in-depth understanding of finance operations
* Manage transition and carve-in projects, transferring finance operations to Finance Services while ensuring smooth implementation, business continuity and high customer satisfaction
* Act as a trusted partner for senior stakeholders in Finance, IT, and other corporate functions
* Deliver strategic rollout projects across the E.ON group taking responsibility to drive alignment, reach important milestones and successful project execution
* Track project performance, report on progress to senior management as well as identifying potential project risks early, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure timely resolution of issues
* Hands-on supporting rollout-related topics from requirements specification to harmonization, standardization, communication and change
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
* At least 5 years of experience in finance transformation, project management, or Shared Services environments; consultancy background in finance transformation is highly beneficial
* First experience in leadership of complex project workstreams in an international environment
* You have a proven track record in managing impactful projects with management attention
* Experience in leading successful transitions within international organizations
* In-depth knowledge of finance processes, particularly in AP and GL
* You have excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with senior management, customers and operational teams to drive change
* Highest customer focus with proven skills for stakeholder alignment and problem solving, especially on senior management level
* Fluent in English and German
