We are seeking a professor to provide courses in Molecular Genetics and Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Development of Medical Devices & In-vitro Diagnostics. The professor will also carry out research and development projects, source and manage third-party-funded projects and participate in science transfer.
The ideal candidate will support domestic, international and interdisciplinary collaboration with academic, business and societal institutions. They will actively engage in the university's system of academic autonomy and contribute to implementing the University Development Plan.
Apart from these responsibilities, the professor will develop applied and internationally oriented teaching modules in the Bachelor's and Master's programs. They will be willing to teach in basic biology subjects and build a network with companies and agencies for engagement in the areas of education, research and development.
To be successful in this role, you must meet the employment requirements set out in Section 36 of the Hochschulgesetz. You should be prepared and able to provide courses in German and English. Experience in teaching at a university or comparable institution is desirable.

The following skills and qualifications are required:
* profound knowledge and skills in the theory and practice of molecular genetics
* demonstrated didactic talent
* several years of practical experience in the development and approval of Medical Devices or In-vitro Diagnostics in industry or relevant agencies
In addition, experience in acquiring third-party funding for research and development projects and a good network within the German and international research community is an advantage.
