From flight dynamics to unmanned aerial vehicles, from simulation to real flight tests - we analyse, test and develop innovations that will shape the flying of the future. In the context of the D-Resilience project, research is being carried out into how mesh networks can be used in the context of a distributed avionics platform. A central question is whether and how this technical approach can ensure reliable communication between tasks of safety-critical avionics applications in the same aircraft, in a network of aircraft and with ground-based stations.
Among other things, it is of interest whether the reliability determined is sufficient in relation to aviation approval criteria and if safety could be improved through the combined use of different network technologies.
