Job Description
As our new Junior User Research Analyst (f/m/d) at Ubisoft Düsseldorf, you will be responsible for preparing and conducting studies to assess the usability and appreciation of our games in order to validate the game design. This includes preparing study protocols, data collection tools, performing data analysis, and interpreting and reporting the results to address the various objectives and needs of the production teams and the studio.
What you will do:
1. Select the appropriate methodology, define test measures, and create relevant tools to evaluate whether the players’ experience aligns with the design intentions of the various productions
2. Efficiently analyze multiple sources of data (including observation, telemetry, etc.) and provide valuable and actionable insights on players’ experience
3. Identify and use the most optimal data visualization methods to present the findings (graphs, tables, etc.)
4. Elaborate study reports and present the findings destined for production teams, brand management and high management
5. Stay up to date with game design, data visualization and User Research trends (training, conferences, new/best practices, etc.)
6. Perform any other related duties as required
Qualifications
What you bring:
7. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Game Design, Ergonomics, HCI, Cognitive Psychology or any other relevant training or experience
8. Excellent research skills (e.g. developing appropriate methods to answer research objectives, conducting appropriate analyses, and effectively communicating findings)
9. Proactive, innovative, and able to work independently
10. Well-organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
11. Being able to handle customer contacts during tests including interviewing skills
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
13. Solid knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools
14. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
15. Good knowledge of the video game industry
