Tribe Services for our Commercial Banking Tribe Domain
You will join the Commercial Banking Tribe Domain, the digital engine behind Deutsche Bank’s small and medium sized enterprise (SME) business in Germany, one of the bank’s strongest growth areas.

To transform the digital experience of ~800,000 clients across three major brands we build and scale the BizBanking platform, enabling modern digital sales journeys, intuitive self-service capabilities, and highly automated banking processes.
As a Lead Engineer Service Platforms and AI (f/m/x) you will be solving today’s most challenging business problems using the technology of tomorrow.
Your key responsibilities
1. You take a leading role within a cross-discipline agile team to create future-oriented solutions to complex problems in a complex enterprise environment and shepherd them through the entire SDLC lifecycle.
2. You take technical ownership of projects and components and collaborate with other engineers, architects and other stakeholders to ensure that business, technical, governance and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
3. You engage actively in mentoring, knowledge sharing, development and coaching not only members of your squad, but developers in the Services Tribe and across the Bank.
4. You proudly contribute to a culture of delivering excellence and constant improvement, maintaining stability, risk management, and control with every release milestone. You collaborate with QA and DevOps to keep our products reliable and secure.
Your skills and experiences
5. Outstanding software engineering skills with JVM languages (Java/Kotlin) and/or Python to build complex backend applications and practical experience with modern SDLC (Git, CI/CD pipelines) and cloud (GCP preferred) technologies.
6. Practical knowledge of architectural and system design topics, including microservices, concurrency, database design, distributed systems, and message or event based systems.
7. General familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning technology in general and LLMs in particular; professional application such as MLOps or LLM-powered services is a plus.
8. Experience in financial institutions or other highly regulated environments is a plus.
9. Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; German is not required but will be an asset
