Job Title: HSE Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Specialist to join our team. As a leading organization in the automotive industry, we strive to maintain the highest standards of workplace health, safety, and environmental practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure compliance with European and national laws, orders, and regulations related to workplace health, safety, and environment.
2. Develop and implement best practices to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments.
3. Investigate accidents and environmental incidents, collaborating with internal and external departments, engineers, management, and regulatory authorities to identify causes and prevent recurrence.
4. Provide expert advice and training on environmental/safety protocols and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with organizational and government standards.
5. Maintain relationships with the community, environmental groups, and stakeholders impacted by our environmental performance.
6. Manage environmental permits for energy, water, electricity, gas, and waste.
7. Oversee the maintenance of a comprehensive MSDS database.
8. Coordinate waste management, including supplier contact, visual waste segregation, waste balance, and SDK labeling.
9. Represent HSE interests during AQP teams and serve as the key sustainability contact person.
Requirements
* Experience in EHS coordination roles.
* Proficiency in applicable EHS regulations and legal requirements.
* Familiarity with continuous improvement, internal auditing practice, and schedule coordination.
* Able to collect and analyze data for reporting purposes.
* Ability to lead projects or improvements until completion.
* Self-disciplined with autonomous prioritization skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* English proficiency is essential; German is recommended, French is an asset.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (chemical, industrial risks, or technical background completed with EHS trainings).
* Certified Technical Course of Health and Safety at Work is an asset.
