Logistics Manager

As a logistics manager, you know that every program relies on clearly defined management processes to work. You understandAir Force and DoD material specificationsand know that usingtools and software like advanced inventory management systems and supply chain optimization techniquesis critical to ensuring the integrity of the mission. We’re looking for a logistics professional like you to apply your process improvement expertise to develop tools forAir Force operational support. Using your knowledge inidentifying root problems and supply chain management, you’ll help coordinate all system elements and ensure long-lasting integration and sustainment.
As a logistics engineer on our security supportteam, you’ll provide expertise in identifying the root cause ofequipment readiness issues, supply chain vulnerabilities, and technology obsolescence concerns. You’ll use your findings to create a path forward that meets design requirements and ensures functionality. Your experience withcomplex integrated defense systems and understanding of material specificationsis essential to ensuring quality when designing critical solutions. You will be responsible for transporting equipment from the TMO to the office or warehouse and keeping the warehouse organized.
In this role, you’ll use your logistics and materials expertise to contribute to the safety of the warfighter. You’ll partner with senior team members and apply your skills in root-cause analysis and process improvement resolution.

You Have:
1. Experiencein military logistics, supply chain management, or materiel management
2. Knowledge ofwarehouse operations, inventory control, and military shipping procedures
3. Ability towork independently to identify and resolve complex logistical issues, ensuring the timely and secure delivery of defense equipment
4. Ability to move equipment up to 50lbs between multiple locations and organize the warehouse
5. Secret clearance
6. Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in logistics, or 5+ years of experience in logistics in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
7. Experiencewith US Air Force logistics
8. Knowledge ofAir Force logistics systems, such as theIntegrated Data Environment (IDE) and Global Transportation Network (GTN) Convergence (IGC)or the Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS)
9. Ability toapply root-cause analysis and process improvement methodologies to resolve logistics and supply chain challenges
10. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field
11. Professional logistics Certification, such as Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) or Demonstrated Master Logistician (DML) Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
