About the Role
The Uber Eats Germany team is seeking a Berlin-based Manager (m/w/d) to lead our SMB Mid-Market Account Management team, where we see one of the largest opportunities for expanding selection and driving growth across Germany. The Mid-Market team focuses on managing partners in our medium-sized cities across the country.
In this role, you will manage a team of Account Managers who are responsible for growing merchants in their market, you will be responsible for making strategic, commercial and operational decisions to help us achieve our goal of growing our footprint in the market, city by city and geo by geo. You'll own the success of your geographical areas, from achieving results to optimizing the selection mix. As a senior team member, you'll leverage your coaching expertise to coach the team at multiple levels and will lead critical cross functional projects that are embedded within the country strategy.
What You'll Do
* Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of skilled individual contributors, providing coaching, support, and professional development opportunities to help them succeed.
* Drive Strategic Growth: Deepen partnerships with restaurants to increase their selection and value on the Uber Eats platform. You'll leverage Uber Eats' marketing and product tools while also pioneering innovative initiatives to boost merchant revenue.
* Manage Cross-Functional Relationships: Expertly navigate relationships with key stakeholders across our Sales, Product, Operations, and Analytics teams to achieve revenue goals and improve the restaurant partner experience.
* Shape Business Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute the overarching strategy for retaining and growing our small- and medium-sized business (SMB) restaurant partners.
Basic Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with at least 2 years in a people management or team lead role.
* Proven experience in a client-facing role or leading teams that work directly with clients, including stakeholder management.
* A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
* Strong track record of building high-performing teams and using data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
* An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building, a sense of ownership, and the ability to work effectively across teams.
