Newrest is hiring a Operations Manager for our unit in Frankfurt, Germany. The selected individual will oversee the production chain, ensuring efficiency, quality, and operational excellence in compliance with Newrest’s global standards. This is a pivotal role that combines leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on operational management in a dynamic international environment.
MISSIONS:
Leadership and Management
1. Infuse Newrest’s values and culture throughout the production team by leading by example.
2. Hold team members accountable for meeting objectives related to cost, quality, and timelines.
3. Train, mentor, and coach team members to ensure performance, adherence to policies, and alignment with company values.
4. Conduct performance evaluations, handle disciplinary actions, and manage recruitment interviews to build a strong talent pipeline within the production team.
5. Communicate effectively with all team members, ensuring clarity in expectations and operational goals.
6. Promote Newrest’s values and foster a motivated and cohesive workforce, ensuring that the team adheres to production protocols.
7. Report critical events such as strikes, accidents, or equipment breakdowns to upper management promptly.
Operations/Logistics
8. Organize and plan production activities, including managing quantities, volumes, and work pace to align with customer specifications.
9. Oversee the entire production process from supply chain management to final product delivery, ensuring efficient workflows.
10. Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and improve the efficiency of production operations.
11. Anticipate and address operational challenges, allocate resources effectively, and assign responsibilities to meet production targets and deadlines.
12. Conduct regular audits to improve processes and troubleshoot issues by identifying root causes.
13. Foster collaboration among stakeholders to achieve production and operational goals.
14. Ensure all catering needs are met in a timely manner and that Newrest Germany meets customer commitments in terms of service quality and delivery.
Finance
15. Monitor and control financial performance, focusing on staying within the proposed budget for all items.
16. Analyze financial results, focusing on cost control and production losses.
17. Drive improvements in productivity, cost reduction, and waste management while maintaining the delivery of quality products to customers on time.
Quality and Safety
18. Ensure compliance with Newrest’s Hygiene and Quality policies, addressing issues raised by the Hygiene/Quality Department.
19. Ensure all safety and security procedures are enforced to protect staff and equipment.
20. Monitor and improve health and safety protocols, particularly in food production and handling, adhering to HACCP and other hygiene standards.
21. Investigate and document incidents or accidents to ensure proper safety protocols are followed and improvements are implemented.
Human Resources
22. Evaluate team members and address performance issues or behavioral concerns effectively.
23. Enhance employee morale by fostering an environment of engagement, trust, and respect.
24. Collaborate with HR to address employee and management concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
Perfil
25. Must be located in Frankfurt ot near by
26. Bachelors in Operations Management, Business Management, or related field
27. 7-10 years’ experience in inflight catering or airport hub environment, manufacturing, logistics, or food industry indirectly managing 250+ exempt level employees
28. Strong leadership experience with experience in start-up or turnaround environments
29. Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with non-exempt to upper management levels
30. Good knowledge of investigation procedures and root cause analysis
31. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and operational processes
32. Strong knowledge of HACCP & food safety standards
33. Strong ability with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
34. Excellent organizational and motivational skills
35. Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
36. Strong analytical skills for interpretation of data to effectively manage risk
