KGaA, Munich ( www.mutares.com), as a listed private equity holding company, acquires medium-sized companies in special situations, which show significant operational improvement potential and are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process. Mutares actively support its portfolio companies with its own investment and operations teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. The focus is on companies with revenues ranging from EUR 100 million to EUR 750 million, across various industries. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company. Within our Operations team, we are looking to hire a team member with a successful track record in Finance with a continuous improvement attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset. This role will be located at portfolio companies, on site across Europe. Manage the integration into the Mutares finance and reporting processes of our portfolio companies on-site and support the Operations finance workstream Work closely with the CFO, the local finance team as well as the Mutares restructuring team on site and the Mutares Group finance team of the Holding Manage the financial integration of new acquisitions into the Mutares Group (e.g. establish opening balance, manage PPA, perform IFRS conversion) Manage and improve financial statement closing and other finance/controlling processes and at the same time establish a well-functioning finance organisation in the portfolio company Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit processes Successfully completed a Finance degree or similar with outstanding results At least 4 years of experience in management consulting or a Big4 consulting firm (both preferably with restructuring experience) or controlling/finance department of an industry firm Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with SAP or other ERP systems or LucaNet is a plus Business fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate in a well-structured and concise manner Willingness to travel up to 2 - 3 days per week and to work in an international environment Work in a highly motivated, international, committed, and agile team that enjoys working together Exciting work environment with varied challenges, strategic influence, and tasks for continuous personal and professional development Flat hierarchies, fast decision-making processes, and room for your own ideas Regular team events and offsites
