About the Role
The Sr Principal Functional Consultant, oCHRO Architect is the senior HCM solution architect on Workday deployment programs. The role reports to the Sr Director of oCHRO Consulting Services and works closely with customer executives, project leaders, and workstream leads to own the end‑to‑end HCM solution architecture and drive design closure on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior customer stakeholders across the full lifecycle, guiding end‑to‑end HCM solution architecture.
- Drive design closure to ensure deliverables are on time and on budget.
- Guide cross‑functional design decisions using Workday guiding principles and business process taxonomy.
- Facilitate structured decision‑making and provide executive‑ready communication.
- Lead or support key design workshops and challenge partners and customers constructively.
- Shape post‑go‑live roadmaps for sustained value delivery.
- Regularly interact with German‑speaking customer stakeholders.
- Pilot new AI‑enabled methods in EMEA and balance speed, innovation, accountability and trust.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of functional HCM experience, including 5+ years of implementation consulting.
- Proven experience leading end‑to‑end HCM solution design on complex, multi‑country programs.
- Deep knowledge of Workday HCM.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Strategic advisor to HR leadership with ability to connect solutions to business strategy and key metrics.
- Strong track record of driving decision‑making across diverse stakeholder groups using structured frameworks.
- Experience refining HR operating models, process taxonomies, and governance structures for global organizations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with systems integrators, reviewing and challenging proposed designs.
- Comfort in high‑stakes environments with tight timelines, budgets, and quality focus.
- Availability to travel up to 40% of the time.
Benefits
Base salary range: €113,200EUR – €169,800EUR (Germany). Eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role‑specific commission/bonus, and annual refresh stock grants.
Flex Work: 50% of time each quarter in the office or in the field, with the freedom to create a flexible schedule.
