Senior Manager Labour Law and Labour Relations
Location: Frankfurt
Our client is seeking a Senior Manager Labour Law to lead the organisation’s labour relations strategy and ensure compliance with employment law. Serve as the go-to expert for individual and collective labour law matters across the group.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advise on all employment law issues and ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
* Develop and maintain group-wide labour law policies and standards.
* Manage relationships with national and European works councils and lead negotiations on agreements, restructurings, and social plans.
* Support legal aspects of restructuring, transformation, and M&A projects.
* Shape and coordinate the group’s collective bargaining strategy in Germany.
* Guide and support local HR teams on labour and collective bargaining matters.
* Monitor legal and industrial relations developments and recommend strategic actions.
* Oversee external legal counsel and promote collaborative relations with employee representatives.
Qualifications:
* Qualified lawyer with a focus on labour law and 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an international industrial setting.
* Strong knowledge of German labour law and collective bargaining structures.
* Proven experience with co-determination bodies and complex restructuring projects.
* Strategic thinker with strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Fluent in German and English.
