Position Summary
APS is seeking a full-time, experienced, results-driven Business Development Manager (Vertriebs-Ingenieur) to lead sales (Vertrieb) initiatives and manage customer relationships. This role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and strategic thinker with a strong background in business development and sales management. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving company growth, developing strategic market initiatives, and expanding APS's presence both within the EU and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
· Sales Strategy & Business Growth
· Develop and execute sales strategies to drive company growth and revenue.
· Set and monitor sales goals, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Assess market trends and customer needs to develop tailored sales plans.
· Customer Relationship Management
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and stakeholders.
· Respond to client inquiries promptly and ensure customer satisfaction.
· Support and grow the company's international dealer network.
· Regularly update the commercial reporting tools (Salesforce).
· Marketing & Brand Development
· Organize and manage APS's participation in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry associations.
· Work with the Managing Director to develop and implement marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility.
· Create compelling visual presentations (print and web-based) and maintain web content.
· Sales & Proposal Management
· Utilize technical knowledge of APS's product offerings to support sales efforts.
· Prepare formal proposals for contractors, military entities, and aviation professionals.
· Review sales contracts to ensure compliance with APS's standards.
· Market Research & Competitive Analysis
· Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and product innovations.
· Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Work closely with internal departments and our US Parent company to align sales strategies with company objectives.
· Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on market trends and business development opportunities.
· Travel & Field Engagement
· Travel frequently to build client relationships and drive sales.
· Provide timely reports on field activities, distributor performance, and market conditions.
· Project Management
· This role requires strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple, complex engineering projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
· A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or a related field is required.
· Up to five years of relevant work experience with sales of capital equipment, consulting or the engineering field
· Fluency in German and English, business proficiency in both written and spoken form. Additional languages are a strong plus.
· Experience with CAD software (ideally Autodesk).
· Experience building and expanding a sales territory from the ground up.
· Understanding the aviation industry, civil aviation authorities, and federal contracting is preferred.
· Experience with international business and global sales strategies.
· Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google docs, and CRM software such as Salesforce.
· Experience with construction projects would be a plus.
