Medical Science Liaison - Infectious Disease
DNA Life Sciences is supporting a leading pharmaceutical company in hiring a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Infectious Diseases. This role serves as a key scientific ambassador, bridging the gap between healthcare professionals and the company. The MSL will engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs), provide scientific expertise, and contribute to clinical decision-making in the field of infectious diseases and microbiology .
Key Responsibilities :
Scientific Expertise & Communication :
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of microbiology and infectious diseases, staying informed on the latest scientific developments.
* Communicate complex scientific and clinical data effectively to healthcare professionals.
* Provide scientific training to internal teams, including Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Field Force .
* Develop a deep understanding of clinical environments, patient pathways, and treatment landscapes in hospitals.
Stakeholder Engagement & KOL Development :
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and KOLs within the assigned territory.
* Conduct hospital visits and scientific discussions to support evidence-based decision-making .
* Represent the company at medical congresses, symposia, and advisory boards .
* Identify and train key speakers to disseminate new clinical data effectively.
* Support scientific initiatives across other therapeutic areas within the company’s portfolio, such as pain management and psychiatry .
Internal Collaboration & Strategic Insights :
* Provide medical insights and field intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
* Collaborate with internal teams to develop scientific content, training materials, and promotional initiatives .
* Identify trends in clinical practice, highlighting opportunities and challenges in the therapeutic area.
Clinical & Research Support :
* Monitor and support investigator-initiated studies, ensuring alignment with medical strategy.
Candidate Profile :
* Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) in Life Sciences, with a background in antimicrobial chemotherapy .
* Minimum 5 years of experience in an MSL or similar Medical Affairs role.
* Strong ability to interpret and communicate scientific data to a broad audience.
* Proven experience in building credible relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals .
* Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills .
* Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a field-based role .
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
* Fluent in German ; proficiency in English or French is essential.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other digital tools.
* Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
