Bleeding‑Edge Challenges:
* AI for Crypto: Implement embedding‑based anomaly detection, predictive key rotation, and semantic crypto‑analysis using advanced LLM or alternative AI models.
* Post‑Quantum Readiness: Integrate PQC algorithms alongside classic primitives.
* Zero‑Knowledge Architecture: Ensure server‑never‑sees‑plaintext security at scale.
Lead the Engineering Team: Hire and mentor crypto engineers, backend devs, and AI/ML specialists—starting with a 5‑person core team (growing fast).
Collaborate with CPO: Work hand‑in‑hand with our Chief Product Officer to translate product requirements into bulletproof technical solutions.
What You’ll Do (First 12 Months)
Phase 1: Build the Core (Months 1–6)
Architect a new platform
* API‑First Design: Modern API paradigms (e.g., RESTful/GraphQL) with endpoints like /v1/encrypt, /v1/sign, /v1/ai/analyze.
* AI Integration: Embedding pipelines for anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and algorithm recommendations (using LLMs or alternative AI models).
* Hybrid Crypto Engine: Seamless integration of classic + PQC algorithms with graceful degradation.
Ship the MVP
* Minimal viable API (encrypt/decrypt/sign/verify) in high‑performance languages (e.g., Rust, C++, Go) with library support.
* AI Predictor v1: Basic embedding‑based threat detection for crypto operations.
* HSM Integration: Abstracted layer for multi‑vendor HSM support (e.g., AWS CloudHSM → Thales/YubiHSM/Utimaco).
Hire the Founding Engineers
* Crypto Engineer (PQC specialist) – candidate in pipeline, not yet confirmed.
* AI/ML Engineer (embeddings/LLMs) – needed urgently.
Performance Optimization
* 50ms P99 latency for all operations (target: 15ms for AI inference).
* Hardware acceleration (e.g., AVX512, GPU for AI workloads).
* Multi‑tenant Key Management System (KMS) with strict key isolation.

Fine Print
* Compensation: Equity only (pre‑revenue, aggressive fundraising in progress). Target: 0.5–2%+ (negotiable based on experience).
* Location: Remote‑first, but EU/Germany preferred (for compliance and team overlap). You have to be able to be here in the office at Düsseldorf. For some limited time you can work remotely.
