Job Description:
What you'll do
1. You will be the main contact for all consumer-related research for the international marketing team "Dish," responsible for global categories of hand dishwashing detergents (e.g., Pril and Pur) and machine dishwashing detergents (e.g., Somat).
2. You will partner and provide strategic advice to International Marketing on consumer, category, and brand knowledge tasks, long-term category planning, brand building, product innovation launches, communication development, pricing, and assortment strategy. You will represent CMI in all meetings with Marketing regarding your categories.
3. You will develop market research plans for the marketing teams and determine the best research methodologies. You will be the gatekeeper for Henkel's Consumer Brand’s Golden Innovation rules.
4. You will initiate all market research studies for your categories and ensure they are professionally managed by your tandem partner, the CMI Manager. This includes all consumer studies: innovation development from consumer insights to final product mix validation, post-launch evaluation, and extensive brand and category baseline studies.
5. You will provide marketing with category-specific analysis and cross-category meta-analysis to help them better understand relationships, improve test material, and develop consumer-relevant innovations.
6. You will promote consumer centricity in the company with customized initiatives.
What makes you a good fit
1. Master's degree in economics, market research, psychology, sociology, or similar fields.
2. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in market research, preferably for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs).
3. In-depth knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies required for everything from basic brand and category studies to new product innovation (from discovering consumer needs to validating the final product before launch).
4. Strong analytical skills and excellent project management skills.
5. Very good communication skills: confident and with very good consultative skills.
6. Very good English language skills; German language skills are an advantage.
