Your opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join the Decentralized Trust and Identity Solutions team! We are seeking an individual with experience in building distributed systems that are designed with security and fault-tolerance in mind.
You would be working with emerging decentralized identity protocols such as and. The ideal candidate should show a keen interest in learning the inner workings of such technologies and how they can be applied to solve business needs, in a secure and reliable way.
1. Design, develop and maintain scalable decentralized identity solutions in collaboration with architects and other engineers.
2. Be a key player in transforming business requirements to solutions in collaboration with the team and external stakeholders.
3. Ensure world-class security best practices are first class citizens in design.
4. Build reliable systems that can handle unpredictable circumstances, out-of-order messaging delivery, etc.
5. Ensure delivered code is robust, well tested and has high maintainability to minimize risks from security bugs.
6. Engage and collaborate with the open source community to mature our identity ecosystem, and review innovations in the space.
Your story:
7. A strong foundation in Computer Science, or a related field, by way of a Bachelor's degree or higher.
8. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a security sensitive domain.
9. Expertise in typed programming languages such as Java or TypeScript.
10. Proven experience in building distributed, event-driven systems that are fault-tolerant.
11. Solid understanding in cryptography and key management, with bonus points for industry experience in this area.
12. Ability to deliver high-quality and maintainable software that can stand the test of time.
13. Excellent communication, documentation and collaboration skills, preferably with an interest in applying asynchronous communication patterns in an open source environment.
