As a Director of New Business Development for the Smart Manufacturing business hub, you will lead a project house focused on driving new business initiatives in market segments such as Tape-driven Manufacturing Automations, Tape-driven Robotics Solutions, Robotics Manufacturing Solutions, and related technologies. You will work closely with the project house lead and team members to validate, develop, and bring innovative solutions to market. Your main responsibilities include:
* Ideation & Validation (0-6 months): Identify and validate new market opportunities, conduct market and trend analysis, develop value propositions and business cases, execute rapid prototyping and MVP testing, and collaborate with internal innovation and technology teams.
* Incubation & Go-to-Market (6-18 months): Build and develop the initial customer base, validate product-market fit, develop partnerships and sales channels, support product development, prepare for venture spin-off or integration, support scaling strategies, establish sales and marketing ecosystems, assist in fundraising, and implement growth processes.
