In this role, you will contribute to modern web applications that support critical European space missions and enable real-world impact in areas such as navigation, Earth observation, and space operations.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
As part of a motivated team, you will take on a responsible role in the development and maintenance of software projects in the space domain, working closely with our clients. You will apply modern software engineering practices, with a focus on sustainable design and high software quality.
•Develop JavaScript-based web applications in the space domain used by clients such as DLR and ESA
•Analyze project-specific requirements and contribute to deriving suitable design and architecture decisions
•Support the design team in conceptualizing new features, taking UI/UX standards into account
•Collaborate closely with backend developers to ensure seamless interaction between frontend and backend systems
•Support the maintenance, enhancement, and evolution of our in-house JavaScript framework
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

•A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, or a comparable field — or equivalent practical experience
•Initial practical experience in web development (e.g., through projects, internships, or professional work)
•Good knowledge of modern web development using JavaScript and TypeScript
•Experience working with different operating systems, especially Linux
•Open and structured approach to solving new problems
•Ability to work effectively in a team
•Excellent written and spoken English; German is a plus
