Corporate Bank Technology is working on a multi-year technology refresh program that includes re-platforming applications allowing payment initiation. As a Senior Engineer (f/m/x), you will be responsible for adding functionality to a global payment initiation platform that has based micro frontends backed by Java powered micro-services deployed in a containerized environment. You should have multiple years of experience and preferably would have worked in large digital transformation programs as a senior engineer (f/m/x) consisting of cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, containers and would understand managed application/container security across the layers etc. You'll collaborate with other Senior Engineers, UX Designers, Lead Engineers and Analysts on the platform embracing agile practices to incrementally enrich the platform with new features with a sharp focus on automation. You will partner with business and technology managers for enhancements to the application stack that provides Deutsche Bank's institutional clients ability to initiate payments in real time and access to their account balances & statements in near real time. Your key responsibilities
1. Teamwork on a shared codebase with other software and QA engineers.
2. Accountable for engineering quality and delivering functional objectives in Corporate Bank Technology
3. Deliver state of the art solutions and be a hands-on technologist
4. Implement innovative technology advancements/frameworks in the industry
5. Maintain hygiene, risk, control, and stability at the core of every delivery that you are responsible for.
6. Manage the software development life cycle (SDLC) of software components all the way to production, including helping support the application to resolve production issues with appropriate triaging
Your skills and experiences
7. Good understanding of Architecture and Design Principles, Algorithms and Data Structures.
8. Expert programming, working experience with Java and Spring for web applications and REST APIs.
9. Experience with relational datastore such as Oracle and non-relational datastores such as MongoDB etc.
10. Experience in Cloud / distributed computing especially with demonstrable use of Kubernetes, Docker, GIT, Maven. GCP or AWS experience is preferred but not mandatory.
11. Proven track record in high-load distributed system design and fault tolerant applications leveraging methodologies like TDD, test automation.
12. Full understanding of SDLC lifecycle for software delivery including engaging with production support personnel for defect triaging and resolution
