We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Anti-Cheat Developer to lead the protection of our Minecraft network’s integrity from day one.
As part of our core development team, you’ll take full ownership of designing and maintaining advanced anti-cheat systems tailored to our gameplay, infrastructure, and player experience.
Tasks
* Design, implement, and maintain advanced anti-cheat systems tailored for Minecraft Java Edition servers
* Analyze common cheat client behavior and exploit patterns to proactively identify vulnerabilities
* Develop low-latency, server-side checks using NMS and packet-level analysis to detect and mitigate cheating
* Monitor and log suspicious player behavior for both automated flagging and manual review
* Collaborate with other developers to ensure compatibility with custom mechanics and systems
* Continuously profile, test, and optimize anti-cheat logic for performance, accuracy, and false-positive reduction
* Maintain detailed technical documentation and changelogs for anti-cheat modules
* Stay up to date with evolving cheat client techniques and contribute to long-term security strategy
* Actively participate in playtests and internal audits to validate cheat resilience and player experience integrity
* Support moderation teams with tooling and data pipelines that enhance real-time decision-making
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience with Java in production-level environments
* Proven experience developing, analyzing, or patching anti-cheat systems for Minecraft servers
* In-depth technical knowledge of CraftBukkit/Spigot and Paper, as
well as Minecraft versions, client-server behavior, and internals
* Strong experience with NMS and handling network packets
* Team-oriented mindset – you're motivated by collaborative success
* Availability for a full-time contractor role (40 hours per week)
