SUMMARY
The Intermediate Security QA Automation Engineer is the architect of our automated testing quality. This role bridges development and security by transforming complex security scenarios into robust, automated Common Criteria test suites. This individual does not just run tests but builds and extends the frameworks that ensure software—specifically across mobile platforms—is verifiable and secure by design.
THE POSITION
We are seeking a proficient Mobile QA Automation Engineer to transform manual security assessment scenarios into robust, automated test suites. You will be responsible for the code that runs these assessments, ensuring that our existing Android and iOS applications, along with other solutions, are continuously verified. You will analyze the results of these automated assessments to flag potential security regressions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Execute & Automate Assessments: Develop and maintain automated scripts and programs that execute security assessment plans on existing software builds, with a primary focus on Android and iOS applications.
2. Framework Maintenance: Manage the automation framework to ensure high-stability execution of Common Criteria assessment cases.
3. Analyze Assessment Results: Evaluate the output of automated tests to ensure the existing functionality meets security standards and recommend corrective actions.
4. AI-Supported Efficiency: Utilize AI tools to optimize the generation of assessment code and create synthetic data for testing scenarios.
5. Continuous Improvement: Proactively improve the test suite to ensure comprehensive coverage of the application's security features.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE
6. Experience: 4+ years in Mobile QA Automation, testing, and software development, with proven experience in testing Android and iOS applications.
7. Focus: Experience with functional security testing (ideally in a Common Criteria context).
8. Skills: Proficient in Python, Java, or Kotlin. Hands-on experience building frameworks from scratch.
9. Bonus Qualifications: Experience in testing Desktop applications is a strong plus.
10. Autonomy: Ability to operate independently and make technical decisions regarding testing architecture.
11. Language: Fluent English is mandatory; German is helpful.
