The recruiting company:
Our client is a German defense startup specializing in electronic warfare and high-precision localization using UWB technology.
Key points of the position:
You will be responsible for integrating and configuring flight control systems on drones used in advanced localization and defense projects.
You will work closely with embedded and RF teams to implement flight control logic, tune performance, and ensure successful on-site operation and validation with customers.
Main responsibilities:
* Build, configure, and test multirotor drones (e.g., quadcopters);
* Integrate flight controllers (Pixhawk, Ardupilot) and sensors;
* Adapt and tune control parameters for optimal flight performance;
* Support system integration and testing activities in collaboration with software and RF teams;
* Interface with German customers and provide technical feedback;
* Modify or test existing code if needed to support integration tasks.
Profile sought:
* Hands-on experience with Pixhawk / Ardupilot flight controllers;
* Strong practical knowledge of drone assembly, tuning, and testing;
* Understanding of control loops and sensor integration
* Ability to communicate effectively in German;
* Engineering background in robotics, mechatronics, or embedded systems;
* German/Austrian or EU citizenship (mandatory for defense projects);
* Located near Erding (Munich) or willing to relocate.
