Job Summary
Drive growth by selling Equinix solutions to expand existing accounts, focusing on large domestic and global enterprises. Lead strategic account planning, manage complex multi-region/multi-metro sales cycles, and coordinate extended sales teams through negotiations and solution delivery.
Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Conduct quarterly business reviews and lead executive briefings to identify new opportunities
Strategic Account Planning
2. Develop and execute global, multi-line-of-business account plans. Research customer business landscapes to uncover priorities and align solutions
Solution Selling
3. Identify customer needs and deliver tailored Equinix solutions. Present and adapt pitches for C-level executives, leveraging internal and external partners
Pipeline & Territory Management
4. Monitor opportunities in Salesforce, forecast accurately, and prioritize accounts for short- and long-term growth
Negotiation & Contract Renewals
5. Lead commercial negotiations and renewals to protect revenue. Utilize internal resources to optimize deal structures and terms
Team Leadership & Mentorship
6. Mentor junior sales professionals, lead special projects, and share best practices across the team
Professional Experience & Industry Knowledge
7. 5–7 years of B2B enterprise sales experience in IT, telecom, or data center environments
8. Proven success in managing global accounts headquartered in Germany
9. Deep understanding of industry challenges and digital transformation trends
Channel Network & Customer Contacts
10. Strong network with decision-makers in large enterprises
11. Experience collaborating with channel partners and leveraging industry associations
12. Existing relationships in Content & Digital Media and Cloud & IT Services verticals preferred
Soft Skills & Social Selling
13. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
14. Ability to simplify complex technical solutions for diverse audiences
15. Proficiency in social selling and digital engagement strategies
16. Strong team collaboration aligned with Equinix core values
Results Orientation & KPI Management
17. Consistent achievement of revenue growth and customer acquisition targets
18. Expertise in CRM tools (Salesforce), forecasting (Clari), and MEDDIC methodology
19. Data-driven approach to optimize sales strategies
Qualifications
20. Bachelor’s degree preferred
21. Proven track record in enterprise sales and global account management
22. Native German and Fluent English
