The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) at the University of Luxembourg contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine. Your role as Research Scientist involves conducting cutting-edge research in risk analysis and statistical modelling of complex actuarial data, while also supervising a research team and managing projects.
* Develop and implement innovative research projects in risk analysis and statistical modelling
* Supervise a research team to achieve project goals and objectives
* Manage research funding and allocate resources effectively
* Disseminate research findings through international conferences and publications
You will also contribute to teaching activities in the Master of Actuarial Science, develop new courses, and supervise master students carrying out practical work.
Your profile should include a PhD in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics or Finance, with a strong interest in interdisciplinary work, particularly in actuarial/economic/finance research.
* Proven track record of planning and delivering research results
* Ability to formulate advice on and manage teaching and/or research programmes/projects
* Experience in programming languages such as Python or R
* Excellent written and oral skills in English
