The EMEA Event Productions team is seeking a Studio Support Engineer who’s primary focus will be to support customers with their technical Studio productions and maintain the health of the studio equipment systems. A successful candidate will be an effective communicator that can handle multiple productions from beginning to end, under tight and evolving deadlines. As the sole engineer from the team in Berlin, the successful candidate can work independently with little supervision and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to raise the bar with each production. They will have a strong, diverse background in videography, camera operations, audio engineering, livestreaming and a general knowledge of lighting composition.
The candidate will be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills, impeccable customer service attitude, step seamlessly into a corporate environment, and have the ability to work across multiple teams and cultures.
Key job responsibilities
•Working with customers on the technical delivery of studio productions.
•Contributes as a subject matter expert in the field of visual and audio production
•Setup and de-rig all equipment before and after a production, e.g. cameras, audio systems, vision mixers, play back systems and lights.
•Direct and own operations during a production.
•Independently troubleshooting technical and production challenges.
•Develop, document and maintain studio / AV standards and drive process improvements.
•Ability to operate in the role autonomously, Identifying correct timing and necessity to escalate challenges.
•Lead, train and oversee vendor personnel when required.
•Professional, discrete and service-minded communication with customers and co-workers in all modes: email, instant message or in person.
•Work effectively and productively with Event Productions team members and all levels of the organization.
•Report any problems that arise with complex equipment, make repairs as able.
•Promptly report all needed equipment repairs and ensure preventive maintenance is performed.

A day in the life
A Studio Support Engineer's role is to operate production equipment during live and as live video productions for Amazon customers within the Berlin Event Productions Studio. The Studio Support Engineer will work alongside coordinators, producers, peers and customers to deliver high quality productions. This work will encompass all stages of the production process including pre-production planning, equipment rig, delivery, and de-rig to ensure customers and stakeholders have a flawless production.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- •2+ years experience with video / audio and lighting equipment
- •2+ years experience in videography or camera operation
- •2+ years experience in vision / audio mixing
- •2+ years experience in livestream or live broadcast operations
- •Excellent customer service skills
- •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •Experience with Ross video and Yamaha sound systems.
- •Experience within on location filming
- •Experience in Post-Production
- •Bachelor's degree in film, media, production, marketing or equivalent work experience
- •Proficiency with MacOS and WindowsOS, Microsoft Outlook and MS Office Suite
