Purpose of the Position:
* Ensure timely and accurate financial management reporting to provide leadership with the insights needed for effective strategic business decision‑making.
* Proactively engage with the Finance Leadership Team and the CFO to review reports and analyses, supporting informed and forward‑looking financial strategies.
* Safeguard the integrity and efficiency of financial reporting by ensuring compliance with JV accounting principles (IFRS), and by delivering complete and accurate reports in line with Group‑defined deadlines.
* Serve as the key point of expertise for financial forecasting models and datasets, advising the organization on the development, interpretation, and strategic use of financial projection.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide strategic direction by leading management reporting and consolidation processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high‑quality insights for decision‑making.
* Design and implement the group management reporting roadmap, aligning reporting practices with business needs and long-term strategic goals.
* Define and maintain relevant KPIs and performance measures to support consistent performance monitoring across the group.
* Lead and optimize the forecasting process, ensuring management has timely and actionable reports to effectively steer the business.
* Prepare monthly management reports and board reporting packages, delivering clear, concise, and value‑adding insights.
* Monitor business performance and KPI progress, including the definition of targets and continuous performance tracking.
* Coordinate data gathering from all controlling domains (divisions, operations and commercial controlling) to ensure complete and reliable inputs for consolidated division reporting.
* Develop and implement group-wide directives, standards, and processes to ensure consistency and compliance in reporting and consolidation.
* Translate business processes into an accurate consolidation and reporting structure, ensuring global alignment and continuous optimization.
* Analyze complex reporting data and convert it into meaningful, actionable information for management, proactively initiating and distributing steering insights.
* Enable the business with tools and processes for efficient forecasting, and coordinate key planning cycles including Budget, long-term Business Plans, RAF, and monthly forecast updates.
* Operate effectively in a dynamic, multi‑stakeholder environment, engaging with senior leaders across the organization and influencing through conviction, inspiration, and strong relationship‑building to foster a constructive and collaborative climate.
* Calculate plant‑ and material‑level mark‑ups to translate Envalior consolidated margins into Division‑level managerial margins, enabling accurate and timely day‑to‑day margin reporting.
* Determine monthly mark‑up totals per Product Line and allocate the resulting managerial margins into the Division P&L across SAP, BW, and Tagetik, ensuring consistency and transparency in financial performance reporting.
Stakeholdermanagement:
Business Management & Business Controllers
Act as a strategic business partner by ensuring internal stakeholders receive accurate, timely, and relevant management information required to run and steer the business effectively.
VP Finance / CFO / Tax / Treasury / IT
Maintain strong partnerships with senior Finance and corporate functions, supporting cross‑functional alignment, strategic decision-making, and integrated financial planning.
Commercial Controlling Team
Collaborate closely on topline developments, ensuring transparency and consistency in revenue, pricing, and margin insights.
Financial Control Teams
Sustain effective working relationships to ensure robust and accurate actuals reporting, aligning actuals with management reporting and consolidation requirements.
Operations Controlling Teams
Coordinate on gross margin and OPEX developments, ensuring operational performance is fully reflected in financial steering information.
External Consultants
Manage productive relationships with consultants providing expertise or project support in the financial control domain, ensuring smooth collaboration and effective delivery of project outcomes.
Potential Challenges
* Building a Corporate Business Control Team in a highly dynamic environment
* Shape and develop a high‑performing reporting organization by actively contributing to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes, reporting standards, and new financial tooling.
* Lead the integration of former HPM and DEM finance teams at both global and country levels, ensuring alignment of structures, processes, roles, and ways of working across the newly combined organization.
* Drive the implementation of the new Management Reporting Roadmap, ensuring consistency, transparency, and scalability of reporting across the Group.
* Implement an enhanced forecasting process, including the introduction of new tooling, standardized timelines, clear accountabilities, and streamlined workflows to support reliable and actionable forward‑looking insights.
* Operate effectively in an environment where foundational processes are not yet fully established, navigating challenges around process ownership, data definitions, and information availability. Actively contribute to building clarity, improving data quality, and driving alignment across stakeholders.
