Job Description
Key Responsibilities of the Team:
1. Technical Ownership: Drive the development of complex embedded applications and reference designs using Renesas MCUs, with a focus on motor control, inverter, communication gateway, and other key automotive applications.
2. Embedded Architecture and Firmware Expertise: Provide deep technical direction on low-level embedded programming, real-time operating systems, hardware abstraction layers, and system performance optimization.
3. Customer and Ecosystem Enablement: Serve as a senior technical advisor to strategic automotive customers, supporting integration and deployment of MCU solutions within their systems.
4. Marketing and Sales Support: Offer efficient technical assistance to our marketing and sales teams during design activities, ensuring successful implementation and integration.
5. Provide technical training to FAE, Sales, partners, and customers.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware and software teams to ensure cohesive, robust, and scalable solutions.
7. Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor junior engineers and application teams, promoting knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
Qualifications
8. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field of study.
9. 8+ years of experience in embedded systems software development, ideally within the automotive domain.
10. Deep knowledge of:Embedded processors and microcontroller architectures in automotive applicationsEmbedded operating systemsAutomotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)Low-level embedded programming in C, and scripting with Python or equivalentDevelopment, integration, and debugging of low-level drivers and firmware components, including hardware abstraction layers and related middlewareBoard-level design, circuit analysis, debugging with tools such as oscilloscopes, and logic analyzersAutomated and system-level testing frameworks and methodologies
