My client is a fast‑scaling insurance brokerage group entering an accelerated buy‑and‑build expansion. Founded over a decade ago, the business has built a strong, trusted brand and recently secured investment from a leading private equity firm to drive the next stage of growth. The organisation is now professionalising, digitalising and integrating its operations to create a market‑leading, scalable platform.
We are now seeking an exceptional CIO / COO to join the Executive Board and lead this transformation journey.
Role Overview Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be the strategic architect and operational driver behind the group’s digital, operational and post‑merger integration agenda. You will unify IT, data, operations, and transformation into a coherent, scalable operating model.
You will lead a team of 5 direct reports — including Business Development and a Business Analysis function — and manage key external technology and service partners.
This is a high‑impact leadership position with significant autonomy, deep board visibility, and a mandate to shape the future architecture and performance of the group.
Key Responsibilities Transformation Leadership Drive post‑merger integration across IT, data and operational processes.
Lead the digitalisation and automation of core workflows to unlock efficiency and scalability.
Standardise the IT landscape, consolidating disparate systems into a unified architecture.
Implement robust, scalable platforms aligned to rapid inorganic growth.
Strategy & Governance Develop a future‑proof technology and operating model strategy aligned to PE value‑creation priorities.
Oversee IT security, compliance, and regulatory alignment, ensuring resilience and risk control.
Technology Leadership Lead continual enhancement of the broker management platforms .
Advance the organisation’s cloud, data and analytics strategy to enable intelligent, data‑driven decision‑making.
Candidate Profile We are seeking a seasoned technology and operations leader with:
Extensive experience in a senior role such as CIO, CTO, COO, or Head of IT/Operations .
Strong exposure to insurance or financial services environments.
A track record in private‑equity‑backed settings, ideally with buy‑and‑build exposure.
Proven success integrating multiple acquisitions and scaling technology architectures.
Expertise leading complex transformation programmes and building modern, scalable IT ecosystems.
Fluent German and English .
