We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop, validate, and system-integrate ITE hearing aids and related components. The role involves implementing new technologies using engineering tools, leading forefront innovation projects, and conducting competitor benchmarking to drive design improvements. You will also be responsible for maintaining engineering documentation and supporting product maintenance, change management, and production ramp-up activities in close collaboration with local and global cross-functional teams.
What you will do
* Design, develop, validate ITE hearing aids, components, brand derivatives, and system integrate them while collaborating with local and global teams
* Implement new technologies or concepts using tools (CREO, DFM, DFMEA, tolerance analysis, simulation) to design, validate and improve ITE Hearing Aid designs
* Lead forefront projects to explore innovative solutions for future hearing aid generations with suppliers and research institutions
* Conduct competitor benchmarking to identify best practices and inform design improvements
* Create and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs in PLM, test specifications/reports, and assembly work instructions
* Provide product maintenance and production support through technical analysis, support activities (ECR/ECO processing, trial runs, FA approval) and assist with production transfer and product ramp-up processes.
What you bring
* 3-5 years of relevant working experience as a Mechanical Engineer in product design and development
* Experience in Tolerance Analysis, Process Capability, DFM and DFMEA
* Knowledge of plastic, rubber, PCB and sheet metal design
* Understanding of plastic injection molding, tooling and Product Development Cycles
* Experience with Agile (or similar) for BOM creation and documentation
* Proficiency in CAD development.
