KG Organization Transformation of Industry Business Unit Industrial Steam Turbines & Generators Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Mid-level Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As Control System Engineer (f/m/d) you will mainly be in depth working with digital control systems on industrial steam turbines. But also challenging tasks like very much practice orientated factory acceptance tests are waiting for you. Demanding projects will take you far beyond control systems to comprehensive power plant studies and IEEE modelling tasks.You will mainly work in Nuremberg in Bavaria, but the team is a distributed team across Nuremberg and Brno and that’s why occasionally you will have the chance to travel to Brno. This position will be filled on a temporary basis for a maximum of 16 months as part of a parental leave replacement.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Programming of turbine control and protection systems for industrial steam turbines and technical clarification during the quotation stage
2. Technical support of our field service personnel during commissioning as well as occasional on-site support of commissioning personnel during their assignments
3. Participation in the further development of the control system for continuous product improvement
4. Carrying out hotline tasks for the technical support of our customers, occasional participation in on-call weeks
5. Carrying out functional tests on control cabinets (FATs)
6. Occasionally carrying out customer training
What You Bring
7. Successfully completed degree in the field of mechanical engineering, process engineering, mechatronics or electrical engineering or similar, preferably with a focus on power engineering or automation technology, or professional experience gained through several years of work in a similar field
8. In-depth knowledge of Siemens T3000 Omnivise automation technology partially including T3k Administration
9. Preferably some knowhow of general Siemens automation technology (Step7 with CFC, WinCC and/or PCS7) and following technologies: Siemens TIA Portal, Windows 10+11, system knowledge, PC technology (hardware knowledge)
10. Experience in automation technology with a focus on control systems and continuous processes is desirable, as well as ideally plant experience from commissioning assignments in the thermal power plant sector
11. Basic knowledge in the field of thermal power plants and especially steam turbine generator sets is desirable
12. Willingness to travel to a limited extent
13. Fluency in English and if possible partially German, both written and spoken, for regular customer contact is required
