ARAG seeks a skilled professional for a role involving GenAI and ML solutions for finance.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement GenAI and ML solutions for finance, ensuring stable and secure operation (CI/CD, Monitoring, Governance)
* Understand and translate business requirements into data and ML solutions through structured conversations with accounting, controlling, procurement, and tax departments
* Actively engage stakeholders through workshops, reviews, and demos, collecting feedback and ensuring transparency over scope, risks, and next steps
* Analyze international financial processes (including process mining) to identify data-based optimization potential in collaboration with process owners
* Create reliable forecasts for financial key figures, explaining assumptions and uncertainties in a clear and traceable manner
* Develop the Financial Data Lake on Azure (using Databricks) and integrate data via APIs and streaming technologies
* Provide clear and transparent key figures, reports, and dashboards for informed management decisions
Requirements:
* A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, (Business) Computer Science, or Economics with a data science focus
* Multiple years of experience in the finance field (e.g., accounting, closing, forecasting, cash flow, risk) with ML solutions, from idea to operation
* Strong communication skills in German and English, with the ability to structure requirements, ask the right questions, moderate workshops, and present results in an outcome-oriented manner
* Proficient statistical and mathematical skills, including time series models and analysis, clustering, dimensionality reduction, anomaly detection, and feature engineering
* Experience handling large datasets (100M+ rows / TB scale) and performing clean model and data validation (testing, data quality)
* Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (storage, CI/CD, Databricks), Python backend, and APIs
* A structured, solution-oriented approach to work and a enthusiasm for collaborative implementation in a team
* Knowledge of security, compliance, and auditability (e.g., DSGVO, revision security) is a plus
