What skills are required for this role?
* Education: Completed degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering or comparable fields
* Experience: Ideally first experience in test automation, quality assurance, sensor systems, hardware handling and application of modern AI tools; experience with functional-safety processes (e.g., ISO 13849-1 PL d, IEC 61508 SIL) is a plus
* Expertise: Good programming skills in MATLAB, Python or C; experienced in using testing libraries (e.g. pytest) and frameworks (e.g. EXAM)
* Softskills: Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team, diligence, reliable and independent working style
* Language: Fluent German and English skills

What can you achieve at Wölfel?
* Design, development and implementation of automated tests for hardware and software components to ensure product quality and compliance with functional-safety requirements (e.g., according to ISO 13849-1, PL d, IEC 61508)
* Setup, maintenance and continuous development of test environments and test frameworks (e.g. with Python, MATLAB, EXAM) for industrial and safety-critical systems
* Apply unit tests, system tests and hardware-in-the-loop tests, including verification and validation activities
* Design and optimization of existing test strategies and processes
* Develop and maintain procedures for factory acceptance tests of hardware components, ensuring traceability, documentation quality and safety-related evidence
