Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Head of Quality Control for our Site Aachen to define the strategic direction and shape the future of quality control operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in LEAN-lab implementation and Network initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence in quality control.
What The Job Looks Like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
* Provide visionary leadership for the Quality Control function, defining and executing the strategic direction for quality control activities across the Aachen Site, beeing Part of the Site Leadership Team
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through the implementation of LEAN-lab methodologies and practices
* Implement standardized quality control processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements
* Monitor and manage quality control activities at the Aachen Site, ensuring alignment with corporate quality objectives and goals
* Drive the adoption and implementation of LEAN-lab principles, methodologies, and tools to optimize laboratory processes and efficiency
* Identify and eliminate inefficiencies, waste and bottlenecks in quality control workflows
* Lead and participate in cross-functional Excellence Network initiatives to share best practices and drive continuous improvement in quality control and related processes
* Ensure that all quality control activities adhere to international regulatory standards, including cGMP, ICH, and pharmacopeial requirements
* Ensure the integrity and accuracy of quality control data and documentation, adhering to Good Documentation Practices, robust data management and archiving systems
* Manage and allocate, in close collaboration with the Site Director, resources including personnel, budget, and equipment, to meet quality control objectives efficiently and effectively
* Foster talent development and succession planning within the quality control teams
What You'll Bring To The Table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, or a related field
* A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in quality control within the pharmaceutical industry
* Expertise in LEAN-lab implementation and continuous improvement methodologies, with a demonstrated ability to drive cultural change
* Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines applicable to quality control
* Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures
* Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
* Profound Experience with quality control operations and standardization
