As a Documentation Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining technical documentation for crane products. Your work will ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and user accessibility across all markets, with a focus on European standards. You will work closely with engineering, certification, and commercial teams to support product development and market deployment.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Technical Documentation Creation
* Prepare and update technical manuals, user guides, and product specifications.
* Ensure documentation complies with relevant European regulations and standards.
2. Certification Documentation
* Collaborate with certification teams to prepare and submit documents for product certifications in Europe.
* Maintain certification records and manage renewal timelines.
3. Collaboration with R&D and Engineering
* Gather technical content from engineering teams and transform it into user-friendly documentation.
* Edit and verify content accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
4. Document Management
* Maintain a centralized, version-controlled repository for all technical documentation.
* Update documents regularly to reflect product changes or feature enhancements.
5. Regulatory Compliance
* Monitor regulatory changes impacting construction equipment documentation in Europe.
* Conduct regular reviews to ensure continuous compliance.
6. Training and Internal Support
* Train internal teams on documentation tools and processes.
* Support sales and marketing teams by delivering accurate technical content for customer proposals and presentations.
7. Competitive and Market Analysis
* Analyze competitor documentation and industry trends.
* Provide insights to improve documentation practices and support product differentiation.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, or similar field.
* 2+ years of experience in technical documentation, preferably in construction or heavy machinery.
* Strong knowledge of European certification and compliance standards.
* Proficiency in documentation tools
* Excellent written English; knowledge of German or Chinese is a plus.
* Rigorous attention to detail, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible documents.
