Job Overview:
* This role focuses on material-related data analysis and processing to support ongoing projects in electrification and high-voltage modules.
* The selected candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, testing, and manufacturing departments, to select and validate materials for production.
* Key responsibilities include conducting and interpreting laboratory tests (mechanical, thermal, and chemical analyses) as well as leading root cause analyses for material failures and proposing corrective actions.
* Maintaining accurate material databases, specifications, and documentation is crucial for this position.
* The ideal candidate must ensure compliance with environmental and technical standards.
* Presentation of findings and recommendations to global stakeholders is also a key aspect of this role.
* Ongoing improvement initiatives within the materials engineering function are expected from the successful candidate.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Polymer Science, or a related field is necessary.
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in materials development, analysis, or data processing roles is required.
* Strong background in data analysis and methodology, including Excel, databases, and statistical tools, is essential.
* Experience with laboratory testing techniques (SEM, FTIR, DSC, TGA, thermal and mechanical analysis) is necessary.
* Good understanding of mechanical and physical properties of materials is required.
* Excellent communication skills in English (C1 level) are mandatory; German is an asset.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team, particularly in a collaborative setup, is a must.
* Knowledge of electrification systems or high-voltage applications is beneficial.
