The Faculty of Natural Sciences of Ulm University seeks to appoint a W3-Professorship for Functional Biodiversity (m/f/d) at the Institute for Evolutionary Ecology and Conservation Genomics at the earliest possible date. The Institute's research under the direction of Prof. The overall aim is to understand the ecological, behavioral, genetic and health-related processes that promote or restrict adaptive evolutionary processes to maintain the health of wild animals and ecosystem functions. We seek an internationally recognized scientist with exceptional qualifications in functional biodiversity research with a zoological focus. The professorship collaborates with other institutes of the Biology Department to advance its research focus "Stress Response and Resilience of Biological Systems". The professorship also involves German and English teaching in the bachelor and master programs of the Biology Department, covering topics such as evolutionary ecology, zoology (e.g., animal evolution and biodiversity, functional biodiversity), biostatistics, scientific integrity, as well as data analysis and management.
