Location: Weinstadt or remote You develop new business opportunities in the transportation and industrial markets (e.g. rail, heavy vehicles, energy) and act as a regional interface for market and industry trends in the EMEA region You take the lead in developing new business opportunities, and design-in projects – either directly with strategic customers or in close cooperation with the sales team and our distribution partners You also build and actively maintain sustainable relationships with strategic customers and relevant industry stakeholders You work closely with product management, sales, and product development to drive growth initiatives You present our products, technologies and capabilities to existing and potential customers by demonstrating value-proposition and expertise in interconnect technologies. You identify opportunities to expand our product portfolio and contribute with structured customer feedback as well as market and competitive analysis You coordinate the implementation of strategic growth initiatives Last but not least, you master the New Business Opportunity Management process and use our CRM system as well as the associated reporting tools You hold a degree in mechanical engineering, electrical/electronic engineering or have a comparable qualification You have several years of professional experience in business development, technical sales or product management, ideally in the connector industry or a related industry You are familiar with design-in, spec-in and buying processes in the connector industry You can demonstrate success in developing and executing new business opportunities You bring strong technical understanding and can communicate complex topics clearly You are a self-organized, communicative personality with high initiative, team spirit and leadership skills You keep track even in complex projects, work in a practical and solution-oriented manner, and bring strong organizational talent and customer focus You are willing to travel at least 50% of your working time for customer visits within the EMEA region You have excellent German and English language skills; a third language (French or Italian) would be a strong plus
