Discover the opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking research project in microbiome and cancer mechanisms.
The University of Luxembourg is an international research institution with a unique interdisciplinary character. Our faculty provides expert knowledge in various fields, including Life Sciences and Medicine.
This project focuses on characterizing and validating microbiome-borne virulence factors (VFs) implicated in human diseases, particularly cancer. We will employ a multi-disciplinary approach, combining in silico, in vitro, and in vivo methods to achieve this objective.
The candidate will be responsible for determining the effects of identified VFs using various assays and investigating underlying mechanisms. They will also contribute to developing new methods and assays to study VF functions, participate in microbiome- and cancer-related projects, and ensure scientific quality management.
Key qualifications include a PhD in Biological Sciences or a related field, prior experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher, proficiency in cell culture techniques, and competence in molecular biology techniques such as real-time PCR and Western blotting.
We offer a dynamic work environment, modern infrastructure, and close ties to industry partners. As a partner for society and industry, our university promotes an inclusive culture and encourages applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
Applications should include a Curriculum Vitae, cover letter, and the name and contact details of at least two referees. Please apply online through our HR system.
