This role is based in Neu-Isenburg, where our headquarters are located.
As Merchandise Manager, you will play a central role in shaping the product vision, assortment strategy, and commercial success of Alpha Industries Europe. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role within a streetwear brand that operates its own design center, where merchandising is a true co-owner of product creation — not simply a downstream function.
You will define the product and assortment strategy from the ground up, ensuring design, consumer insight, and commercial objectives are tightly aligned. With a deep understanding of streetwear culture, apparel markets, and consumer segmentation, you will guide design direction, influence key decisions, and protect the iconic Alpha Industries brand identity while unlocking new growth opportunities.
This role requires a high degree of autonomy, entrepreneurial mindset, and bias toward action, moving fluidly between design, sales, consumer insights, and senior leadership while bringing a wide range of stakeholders along the journey.
You will report to the Director Commercial Planning and Merchandising.
Your mission
Product & Line Strategy
* Own and define the European product and assortment strategy, aligned with brand DNA, consumer needs, and commercial targets
* Act as a strategic partner to the Design Team, ensuring concepts, silhouettes, materials, sku restrictions and price architecture are on strategy, on brand, and on margin from briefing through final product
* Translate consumer, market, and cultural insights into clear product direction across categories and segments within streetwear and apparel
* Define and own line architecture (range, strategic price point management, franchises & key style selection, product tiering and channel management) aligned with brand and growth strategy
* Identify long-term product and franchise opportunities to drive sustainable brand growth
* Establish design KPIs and measures of success regarding productivity, efficiency and scalability. Grounding decision in data & facts and strategic principles
Your profile
* An experienced strategic merchandiser with strong experience in streetwear or fashion apparel
* Proven ability to define product strategy, not just adapt existing collections
* Entrepreneurial, action-oriented, and energized by building rather than maintaining
* Comfortable operating with high autonomy, ownership, and accountability
* Equally confident discussing creative direction and commercial performance
* Strong analytical mindset, able to ground creative and strategic decisions in data, facts, and first principles
