We offer exciting projects at our renowned customer Airbus Defence and Space and we are looking for a motivated employee for the position "FCAS Materials & Processes Engineer" (m/f/d).
Your tasks:
* Development of functional materials and associated manufacturing processes
* Support to workpackages in the area of FCAS and internal development projects
* Support to national and international R&T projects
* Deliver material solutions including associated data to other airframe disciplines
* Develop eco-efficient materials and processes to comply with EHS regulations such as REACh
* Creation and harmonization of material and process specifications
* Definition of material and manufacturing process selection lists based on program requirements
* Definition, coordination and execution of material, process or part specific qualification campaigns
* M&P support to other engineering and manufacturing disciplines
* M&P support to supplier audits, quality escapes or obsolescences
* Support in supplier development in the area of structural and non-structural polymers
* Ensure appropriate documentation and reporting
Your profile:
* Completed studies in the field of aerospace, material science, mechanical engineering or a comparable qualification
* More than three years of professional experience in the aerospace sector
* Good knowledge of non-structural aerospace materials and manufacturing technologies
* Sound knowledge in the area of composite technology and basic knowledge in the area of aircraft design and associated requirements
* Working experience in laboratory environment
* Experience in definition and execution of test programs including coordination with internal stakeholders and external suppliers is mandatory
* Demonstrated work package management skills and respective reporting skills is a must have
* First experience with environmental regulatory compliance is appreciated
* Very good knowledge of MS Office
* Fluent in English
* Experienced knowledge of German
