The Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to support a significant employee population across Germany and Switzerland (circa 1,500 employees). This is a senior-level role focused on managing complex HR matters and partnering closely with executive leadership, including the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
This position is based in the Frankfurt region, with flexibility for candidates located within approximately 1–1.5 hours of the office. A hybrid working model is supported, with occasional on-site presence required depending on business needs, around 1-2 days per month.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, including redundancies and disciplinary processes
* Act as a strategic partner on workforce planning and organisational design
* Provide expert guidance on compensation structures, salary frameworks, and benefits
* Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align HR strategy with business objectives
* Oversee and support employee relations initiatives across Germany and Switzerland
* Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations
* Partner with and manage relationships with Works Councils in Germany
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in a senior HR role within a large, international organisation
* Strong background managing HR for sizeable employee populations (ideally 1,000+ employees)
* Demonstrated expertise in complex employee relations and strategic HR initiatives
* Experience working in a global environment is highly desirable
* In-depth knowledge of German labour law and Works Council processes is essential
* Industry background is flexible; experience in highly regulated environments is advantageous
