About our client
Our client is a successful international investment company based in Luxembourg, with over €2 billion AUM. Its private equity team invests in mid-sized companies in selected target sectors, and has the flexibility to execute majority, minority, and / or co-investments across DACH, France and Benelux. They subsequently aim to increase company value by adopting an active shareholder strategy and lean into value creation and governance topics.
With a growing investment pipeline, the DACH-focused private equity team is looking for a Senior Associate to grow their execution capabilities in the region. If you're a driven professional with strong modelling abilities, sharp commercial insight, and a passion for working in a collaborative, flat-structured team, this opportunity could be the perfect fit for you. What the job involves
* Proactively screen and identify suitable target companies for potential investment opportunities
* Perform investment assessments, including the development of comprehensive financial models for valuation and acquisition structuring
* Support and drive due diligence processes in collaboration with external advisors and synthesize key insights for inclusion in Investment Memorandums
* Adopt an active ownership approach by partnering with industry experts and management teams to drive and implement value-enhancing initiatives
Who we are looking for
* Master's degree, preferably in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification)
* Between 4 and 5 years of professional experience acquired in private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting or corporate development with at least 2 years in PE
* A strong interest in active ownership, approaching investments with the mindset of a business owner rather than a passive institutional investor
* Excellent analytical capabilities, with proven experience in financial modelling
* Comfortable operating within the Mittelstand environment, with a solid understanding of its unique dynamics
* Fluent in both German and English, with strong communication skills in both languages. French is considered a plus
* The position can be based in Munich, but requires an extensive onboarding in Luxembourg
