Project Engineer (m/f/d) Brownfield Biogas/Biomethane
Project Engineer (m/f/d) Brownfield Biogas/Biomethane
Among the more than 40 biogas projects it has delivered is Europe's first biomethane facility, commissioned in 2006. Join us in our mission to unlock the potential of biogas across Europe - and beyond.
We are looking to strengthen the Engineering & Technology team at VORN Bioenergy as Project Engineer (m/f/d) Brownfield Biogas/Biomethane:
You will work together with a motivated team for the design, construction and operation of biomethane projects. You will be our technical expert for brownfield projects and repowering of existing assets, consolidating the VORN's pipeline of biomethane plants in Europe. You will be the responsible for site visits and assessments on brownfield projects. You will elaborate engineer reports of brownfield projects and assess all the technical requirements for re-powering. You will support the identification of best-in-class, project-specific equipment and technologies, preliminary design and specifications, detailed cost assessment, purchase and site delivery management, and support the commissioning.
You will prepare conceptual design, technical specifications for tender documents, tender evaluations as well as conduct design reviews and supervision during fabrication, erection and commissioning of brownfield projects.
You will assist the Engineering and Technology team for the effective consolidation of brownfield projects. You will be the interface for project managers, assisting with specific and local engineering topics (permitting, drawings, documentation, etc.), You will coordinate the engineering activities between project managers (project development) and lead internal engineering management.
During late stage of projects, you will coordinate the detailed engineering activities with, assuring excellent skills for the implementation of the engineering standards and delivery the detailed engineering for construction. You will provide guidance to construction regarding contracts, engineering requirements, material coordination and overall project execution.
Be the lead to ensure the application of standards developed by engineering in the pipeline of projects (development, execution, and operation). You will be the responsible for documenting all the engineering work developed in your projects.
Manage project plans, project budgets and follow up and coordinate activities. Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes to project scope, budget and/or schedule.
Completed studies in the field of process engineering, chemical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or related fields.
Good knowledge in the field of project engineering with many years of proven experience in biogas/biomethane.
Advanced level of German and Italian is mandatory, considering that these are the key markets for brownfield projects. You also dominate English for internal communication as the corporative language.
