The Role
The Global Sales Specialist is an indirect Sales role within Hyatt Sales Force (HSF) EAME, integrated into the Conversion Team and supporting Hyatt’s hotel conversion and pre-opening (Ramp) activities. This role focuses on managing and driving group leads across all Global Sales HSF segments, while coordinating the transient RFP process for hotels in pre-opening or conversion phases, ensuring they are commercially active and visible ahead of opening. Working closely with the Ramp teams, you act as an extension of the hotel’s sales function, positioning new hotels within Hyatt’s global sales structure to generate revenue from day one. You will support lead handling, RFP participation, and customer engagement, while helping to build long-term, value-based relationships. Success in this role requires strong coordination, organization, and sales acumen, along with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
* Lead Group Sales Efforts: Manage and coordinate group leads across all HSF segments for pre-opening and converting hotels, ensuring timely qualification, follow-up, and conversion.
* Act as a Central Connector: Serve as the key liaison between Global Sales teams and hotels to maximize revenue opportunities.
* Own the Transient RFP Process: Coordinate end-to-end RFP participation, including system loading (e.g., Lanyon), rate submissions, content alignment, and deadline management.
* Drive Commercial Readiness: Partner with Ramp teams to prepare hotels for full commercial activation prior to opening.
* Provide Interim Sales Support: Act as a reactive sales function until on-property teams are in place, ensuring continuity in customer engagement.
* Enable Smooth Transitions: Support the handover of sales responsibilities to hotel teams post-opening.
* Maintain Systems & Data Integrity: Update and manage systems such as Envision, Lanyon, Cognos, and 360, ensuring accurate hotel data.
* Track Performance: Monitor and report on lead production, RFP participation, and ramp performance metrics.
* Collaborate Across Stakeholders: Work closely with Global Sales, Ramp teams, and hotel stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear communication.
Champion Visibility: Ensure pre-opening hotels are well represented across Hyatt’s global sales ecosystem.
Required Skills
* Experience in sales coordination, hospitality, or a related commercial environment
* Strong project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Commercial mindset with a focus on revenue generation
* Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills across global teams
* High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* Analytical capabilities with experience in reporting and data handlingProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced skills preferred)
* Familiarity with systems such as Lanyon, Envision, Cognos, or similar platforms is a plus
* Fluent in English; additional languages such as Spanish or French are preferred
* Proactive, solution-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
