Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain backend services and platform components. Work across multiple languages and frameworks including Python, Kotlin, TypeScript, and Node.js. Build and consume REST and gRPC APIs, integrating internal and external services. Develop data-intensive systems using relational (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and in-memory (Redis) databases. Contribute to cloud-native architecture, deploying services using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. Implement event-driven, streaming, or async systems using Apache Kafka or similar technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features on time. Maintain system reliability, observability, and operational excellence. Required Skills & Experience Commercial experience as a Software Development Engineer or similar role. Strong programming skills in Python, Kotlin, TypeScript, or Node.js. Experience with databases, API design, and cloud-based services. Comfortable working with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures. Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud deployment practices. Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment. Desirable Skills Experience with industrial IoT, messaging protocols, or high-throughput platforms. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CDK, Pulumi). Prior exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tools.
