Contribute to the development of HPM monitoring products by managing the CAD application platform in use by the HPM R&D function. The toolset is shared across an international footprint of development sites located in Germany, US, Betherlands, China, India and Brazil. The platform does support eCAD and mCAD deisgn processes. As the functional and technical lead ensuring operational contnuity together with an external service partner, this job does offer a broad pallette of activities ranging from technological decision making in aligned with the business function to the project- and service management related activities. Your role: CAD specialist leads the development and changes in CAD applications in programs/projects or based on change requests for HPM business (Mechanical and Electronical Design departments) eeping the environment Mechanical and Electronical Design running, eing the contact for around 200 users in China, India, Germany, Brazil and USA. Provide support by email, TEAMS Acceptance testing of new CAD software and deploying it to customers Implementing parts: Library of Xpedition, parts which need a 3D representation for interference checking or similar purposes Library of Mechanical parts within the EngineeringDatabaseManagementSystem of the ME CAD suite Devleop additional capabilities for the users when the need arises and effort is justified. Support of additional tools iin terms of license server management for the Mechanical and Electronical design Departments Keeping the environment stable for the Design Departments, especially Apache Servers coming bundled with other tools. Maintaining a wiki system containing tips and tricks of the trade and help pages for the various tools written by the team. Maintaining a MarisDB database, which is used for keeping the electronic components together with the preferred parts tables etc. As part of keeping the environment stable, you will participate in the Operating system/software maintenance of the servers for the CAD environment. Currently there are 4 systems in China, India, Germany and USA You're the right fit if: Being able to embark in new techniques and or challenges as the environment changes. Being able to detect emerging problems and deal with proactive solutions to prevent fire fighting. Master degree/diploma or Mechanical engineering or Electronic Engineering or Applied Sciences or related discipline For the elements, where you are not fully trained and experienced, training will follow Creo Elements/ Direct Modeling Suite (Mechanical CAD) Siemens Enterprise eXpedition Suite (Electronic CAD) LISP (the customization of the ME-CAD system is done via LISP) PowerShell (as most of the tools needed to keep the applications running are written as PowerSheel scripts). vb.NET ( a number of Add-Ons for eXpedition dealing with the FDA approved vault eDeviceMasterRecord/eDocumentManagamentSystem are written in vb.NET. C++ (some tools are written in plain C++) Java (customization of Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager (Engineering Data Base solution) Cygwin on windows (tools for customization are written as BASH scripts. Development of customization is tracked in plain old RCS or newer ones in DistributedVersionControlSystem Mercurial and some in LINUX) How we work together We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
